Now I know that this video strikes some sickening thoughts in some people's heads and minds. My only issue with that conclusion , is one must understand a different culture.
Snake charming started (although not conclusively proven) started in India (although there were many forms of snake charming in ancient Egypt as well). Snake charmers were many times already healers or doctors. They already knew how to treat those bitten by snakes, and were often called to people's homes to remove snakes that had gotten in.
Hinduism has long held serpents to be sacred; the animals are related to the Nagas, and many gods are pictured under the protection of the cobra. Indians thus considered snake charmers to be holy men who were influenced by the gods.
Many things and beliefs that are foreign to a person are often misread. This is a human way, although not the right way. And in saying this, I by no means think that the danger that this child was put in was morally right. At the same time, with adult supervision this child was not in mortal danger. Along with the cobra's fangs and venom glands being removed and it's mouth sewn shut, it was unable to inflict a bite wound or venom into the child. Venomous snakes, unlike constrictors do not wrap their prey in their coils and suffocate them. So as the video neared the end, the cobra reacting with its body to the child was because it's natural form of defense, it's bite, had been rendered useless by man.
This also brings up the treatment of animals as well. Although a cobra's fangs can grow back, if cut, as they no doubt were in this case, if the venom gland is completely removed, the cobra has lost it's only defense mechanism.
Yes, what is seen above is quite controversial. But every culture has it's differences, and things that others might not understand. I am sure there are American customs and traditions that stupefy other cultures as well.
Putting a child in danger, regardless of the level, is not the responsibility of a parent. However, the denouncing of other cultures customs and traditions, is also not our place. While most may disagree and be very disgusted by this video, to me it just shows the complexity and difference of the many cultures of the human race.

And when she does, and speech is once again granted to you, you fucking praise her. Nothing on earth could be more a privilege then to grovel at her feet for her adoration.
Love it, relish it, savor it, and enjoy it. It is strictly the pity that she has for such a loathsome creature that she grants you the privilege to worship her greatness.

Worship her . . . revere her . . . pay homage . . . give all glory . . . all your will . . . submit completely. Yes, your will really never was yours, you just didn't know it, until she put that collar around your neck, and walked your ass down the street. You just fucking thought you were a big man. Nope, sorry sucker . . . you ain't nothing but hers.
