 Perceptions Of Evil

There is a beast inside all of us.  I often wondered what the beast inside of me looks like.  I wonder if it may be ugly.  Is it strong.  Does it have strength superior to mine?  Was it created because of my weakness?  So therefore I created a creature that was vastly superior in strength and a penchant for animistic vices.

Is the physical appearance of the beast all that important?  For what it looks like is not what it was created from.  The need for a beast to be hideous and ugly, is a human misconception.

After all, evil things can be very beautiful, seductive and alluring.

Not everything that is evil is hideous and ugly.  But our concept of evil having a terrible appearance is our way of dealing with evil.  If evil is ugly than it is easier to dismiss.  But if it is beautiful and alluring then it is not so easy to dismiss.  For beautiful things are always pleasing, not matter its intentions.

"And no marvel, for Satan ----><---himself is transformed

into an angel of light."

(2 Cor. 11:14)

So if the ultimate evil (as some would believe) can make the appearance of light, to hide his evil intentions, then it would seem that would work too for man.  After all man was suppose to have been made in the image of God.  And the angels, including Satan, were themselves created before man.

But that is hardly the point to make.  I don't like to get Biblical.  It was just a good example to illustrate the point.

There is a beast within all of us.  Sometimes we fail to listen to it, as we fear what my come about through such a compliance.  But fear not!  A beast is not always evil.  A beast's intentions are not always hurtful.  We have been instilled with the reasoning that to listen to our dark side is to forfeit the good in our souls.  But to make the point, that is not always true.  Like anything, excess is what yields the occurrences of such evil.

<--------Such as war. (One of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.)

All these creations, are man conceptions.  Without arguing the validity of the Bible, as to whether or not the writers of it were inspired by God, or just the writings of men, they are the perceptions of what our limited mind can grasp.  Is it not funny, that celestial creatures ride the heavens in chariots?  Why is that funny?  Well because that was the mode of transportation at the time these writers contributed to the Bible.  That is why, like the Four Horsemen, had to be given a tangible, physical concept, so that we could try and better understand what these celestial beings are.

So no wonder something as abstract as the evil within us (our beast) must be given a physical description, so that we can grasp what it is that is the evil within us.

So if my evil inside of me, happens to be a bestial creature, with a voracious appetite for violence and mayhem, then here it is.  But to understand why this creature best represents what I feel, I would have to share the thoughts and bothersome things  that plague my mind from time to time.

So i guess we have to look inside ourselves, and ask; who is it that is in control?  Are we another Hitler that allowed the gnawing evil inside of him out to the point that it drove him to utter madness?  Or will we use the evil inside of us, when it is necessary and gave benefit us?

For we all found out in "Infinity War" and Infinity Crusade" (Marvel Comics copyright) that when Adam Warlock, to better use the Infinity Gauntlet (which contained the Infinity Gems, which controlled all aspect of existence) separated the evil and the good from him, so as to be, what he thought, would be a purely logical creature that was able to serve the universe without emotion. (I will try and explain more of these stories, for those that are interested on my comic blog "Comic Book Geeks 101 at thanosoftitan.blogstream.com  )

But him doing so created two beings, one of pure good, the Goddess, and one of pure evil, Magus.  Neither of them being balanced, neither one benefited anyone.  Because there always has to be a balance.  Pure righteousness without reason is just as destructive as pure evil with all its malevolence.

A BALANCE . . .

Left----MiddleGround----Right

Does that look familiar with almost everything that concerns man?

What will you do?

Will you ignore your beast within?

Will you let your beast within overrun you?

Or will you find that balance?

 Some Men's Obsessions

What is it with some men (including myself) with obsession with women with large breasts?

Well I could look at it from many angles. I'm sure that there are different factors for different men. Just as there are many different women with many different breasts sizes. So what is it?

Some would offer the conclusion that most men obsess about what their mother was like. But to say that means that you would have to offer the conclusion that if you like a woman with large breasts, that your mother's were. I don't know if I want to go there. I never looked at my mother that way, no matter what Freud says. Others say that boys that were breast fed are more than likely to have a sexual attachment to women's breasts. But then again, more and more women (it seems to go hand in hand that women, or more accurately girls are having babies younger and younger) don't breast fed as much as they did from my generation of children.

Then some men do not find the breasts to be the most sexually appealing part of a woman's body. And yet in still, some men actually prefer women with smaller breasts. So what is the deciding factor?

I can't probably tell you. I can offer my sincere honesty of being attached to large breasts. But also, with that I also prefer a woman, that you could say by today's standards, is considered a large woman. But as I said that changes with society. A man's perception of what is attractive in a woman has changed throughout history.

Take example that, Bettie Page, in the 50's was considered quite the sex symbol. But by today's standards she would be too "fat". When you look as some of the women that are considered to be "attractive" today, they seem almost anorexic, as far as my standards.

Maybe more than the breasts themselves, it is the body build of a woman that changes with men's tastes. Society decides what it is that is considered acceptable for a woman to be attractive. And it is such demeaning media that robs men of their own intelligence. To let someone dictate what it is that is acceptable to a person is the very reason that this country was founded. Whether it be something as sexually acceptable, or a person's civil rights, they are all important.

So if there were any point to this, which I think it was just to be able to post a picture of a woman with large breasts, it is, be you, be attracted to what you are, and never mind the naysayers.

One last bit of advice . . . I like women like I like my chicken -- with large breast, thighs, and hips! 8-) Yummy!

 What's Your Religious Philosophy?

You are Agnostic

You're not sure if God exists, and you don't care.

For you, there's no true way to figure out the divine.

You rather focus on what you can control - your own life.

And you tend to resent when others "sell" religion to you.

 The Perfect Portrait Of Fear

Some of the following (in quotes) are some of the original text from the script of ALIEN written by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett. I have added some of my own thoughts on it, of the images and emotions that I remembered from watching this movie. This scene in particular was most memorable. I remember this as the single most superb acting of fear on the part of any actor or actress. If you have seen this, you would know that Veronica Cartwright (Lambert) made you feel as if the ALIEN were right there in front of you.

"The Alien appears out of the air shaft ventilator.

Lambert turns.

Screams.

Unfolding, the Alien grabs for her."

The unfolding of the Alien is what is so superbly done by Bolaji Badejo (the Alien). It is brilliant and horrific. Demeaning and uplifting. The elegance displayed as a creature of such horrific proportions (as Bolaji Badejo was over 7 foot tall himself) is indeed frightening. He unravels himself from what seemed to be the darkest and smallest corner of the room. A massive creature that stirs out of a mouse's hole.

"INT. BRIDGE 185-A

Ripley freezes as she hears Lambert's screams.

INT. CORRIDOR - OURSIDE 186

Parker looks back into the locker.

Unable to use the flamethrower without hitting Lambert."

The Alien appeared between Lamert and Parker, as Lambert was gathering supplies to take with them when they left on the escape shuttle. He kept yelling at Lambert to move out of the way. But she was frozen with fear, unable to move. A pitiful scared sobbing, was all that she could muster, as this fearsome creature approached ever so slowing and methodically. The creature advances closer to Lambert.

"He hesitates for a moment, then strides into the locker.

Wielding the flamethrower like a club.

PARKER

Goddamn you.

INT. FOOR LOCKER NUMBER 6 186-A

The Alien drops Lambert.

Parker lands a blow with the flamethrower.

No effect.

The Alien strikes him once.

Killing him instantly.

He now moves to Lambert."

The sheer lack of details as to what the Alien did to Parker just makes it that much more intense. All you can see is Parker's screaming face, as his mouth slowly, wide open with pain, slightly fills with blood, staining his teeth. And then disappears as the Alien flings him aside as nothing more than a pesky insect. A nuisance to be swatted away, and nothing more.

He then turns to Lambert. The camera follows down to Lambert's feet, and you can see the Alien's tail move slowly between Lambert's legs, to wrap around her. You can still hear Lambert quietly sobbing and crying, only once being able to utter Parker's name as the Alien discarded his dead body.

"INT. BRIDGE 187

Ripley listening on the communicator.

Lambert's dying shrieks.

Then the voice-amp goes dead.

Silence."

There are no words to describe "Lambert's dying shrieks". I don't even really want to know how they came up with these sounds and what imagination was used to conjure them up. It kept me a awake in my nightmares, wondering what in the hell could muster such horrible, wretched sounds from a humans vocal cords. Utterly terrifying.

"RIPLEY

Parker. Lambert."

Ripley returns to where they were. There is a fast, quick screen shot of Lambet and Parker. And the quickness of it is what makes it so surreal. You wonder still what kind of creature is this? The lasting and real images from this scene of this movie, will forever haunt my brain in a way no other movie, no matter how disturbing could ever do. Because it is not the advance of technology and special effects that make a movie. It is the ability of an actor or actress to be able to impress upon you what they are experiencing. And for me, no one has done that better than Veronica Cartwright. Truly stunning.

Bolaji Badejo as the Alien

May U Live 2 See The Dawn

"You idiots. You still don't realize what you're dealing with. The Alien is a prefect organism. Superbly structured, cunning, quintessentially violent. With your limited capabilities you have no chance against it."
