What Would You Do?

 Miss MindPower In Comics

Batgirl . . . aka Barbara Gordon

Miss Mindpower wanted to know who reminded me of her most in comics, as far as charecters. Now this was kind of borderline, so I decided to post it in both blogs.

Barbara started out as Batgirl, inevertantly. Batman was never one to make personal apperances. He believes he does what he does to fight crime, unknowning that he inspires people without trying. There was a need for more of Batman's presence to inspire people that their town was safe. One of these instances was during a parade in Commisoner Gordon's honor (Barbara's father). Batman has great faith in Commisoner Gordon, and honors him by helping him fight crime in Gotham. But Barbara felt that an apperance at the parade would help the people of Gotham. So she decided to make an apperance herself, in a costume she made. After that, it just kind of stuck.

Later, in her career as Batgirl, she feel victim to the Joker. But as Barbara Gordon. In an attempt to get at Commisoner Gordon, the Joker came to their house, shot Barbara, and kidnapped her. Batman finally did rescue her, but the gunshot had lodged in her spine and she was a parapalegic, paralized from the waist down.

Unable to fight crime as Batgirl, Barbara, became the Oracle. And this is where I find the similarites between her and Miss Mindpower. The Oracle was the central intelligence for Batman and Robin. Housed in an unknown safehouse, surrounded by equipment to help her, Oracle did much of Batman's legwork while he was on the run. She used her intelligence and famliarity with computers and such devices to help Batman run down criminals and analyize clues and evidence. She used her mind to help Batman when he was unable to do it himself. Eventually she expanded to also help the JLA, in finding and going over evidence for them too.

Even as Batgirl, she used her brain to overcome crimes and criminals, and was a constant asset to Batman. The mind never ceases to amaze when put to good use, and this is what Barbara did, able to handle many inquiries by all the super-heroes of the DC Universe.

So there Miss Mindpower, there is your comic twin double. Continue to flex your brain and you will go places that some people will never be. I hope you liked this here post. Make sure to let me know what you think. Take care Miss Mindpower.

This Guy Goes By The Chick Magnet Net Handle Wompa One

Do you know how scary it is that a majority of the children of this generation don't know that Greedo didn't shoot first? Why in the hell did George Lucas change that part of the movie, from the original. Some people can't just leave well enough alone?

Now in addition to my picture and my tagline, I am going to post a quote of some kind at the end too, much like Mr. Darker does.

"Did he try to screw you in an incomfortable place?" "What like the back of a Volkswagon?"

 Stoic

One who is seemingly indifferent to or unaffected by joy, grief, pleasure, or pain.

Has been the refined form of words I have been associated with. Being in different is not a bad thing. The purpose behind such an attitude is to devoid oneself of all feeling, as though nothing makes one happy or sad. But the illusion sometimes isn't all of what is in the inside. There is a person that we all are, and then there is the skin on the outside that everyone sees.

Some of us tan . . . In an attempt to make ourselves feel better be change what is on the outside. The belief that the outside is what makes the person on the inside. And how could one be blamed. After all apperances are everything in this country and culture. You see it in your everyday life, on television, in other media, and with yourself in the mirror. It is an inhert trait of man, to judge something by the first apperance or impression. All kinds of sterotypes fit in with this "virus". The first apperance of an attractive women, with a well develpoed body and designer clothes, elicits in us a feeling that this woman has it all. She has looks and taste. From there we assume a succesful job, and happy love life with any man of her choosing. We make these assumptions, because we know what society places on looks and success. But hiding behind the famous cloths, posture, and awesome rack, is a woman that is so lonley that her every thought is sad and depressing. Funny isn't it . . .

Some of us shave our chests . . . Men that put apperance on their looks, are what Mr. Whit would call "twirley men". They feel in touch with their inner self. They are okay with shaving their chests and wearing colonge or silk cloths. They feel that apperance changes who they are. They think of sterotypes that sicken them about the "jeans & t-shirt" men. As if because they dress as a pimp, drink wine, and go to exclusive clubs, that they have risen above the perceptions of a man. But inside all they want to do is drink beer and watch football. Maybe oogle women's breasts. That is a "man" thing. 8-)

Some of us never wear short shorts . . . Their is a fear of being judged by our body. That the beer gut that I am working so hard to build will someday bring me shame. On the other hand, when I am retired and cutting my grass in my "coaching" shorts with no shirt on, I will be damn proud of it. But we forget that there are all types of body sizes and frames. We think that the ultra-anereix (sp?) "super-models" are what all men are attracted to. That that is what men want. An example. Kristi Alley is much more attractive to me now then she was before she gained weight. She lost much of it, but still retained the body frame. Not all me, are attracted to Uma Thurman. Some find Bettie Page extremley attractive. For that time, she was the body type that was accepted among society. (Take a look at my pictures of her and you will see what I mean.) So take heart, gals that don't want to wear short shorts . . . there is nothing more that gets my noodle going then, women with meat on their bones. And I am not the only one.

There are some that dress in black . . . So anyone who wears black all the time (besides Johnny Cash) is a goth. Well I am sad to say that most don't even know what that means. These are people that are truely afraid of who they are. They don't know how to project themselves without fearing embarresment. So they hide behind the jewelry, crazy hair cuts and black clothing. Afraid to just be themselves and screw everyone else. Hmmm.

Then there are those of us that are "stoic" . . . So afraid to be happy or sad. So afraid to admit our feelings. Afraid that they will show some weakness in us that we are not willing to face. Not willing to admit. Not willing to embrace. So we hide our feelings deep inside, not wanting to share them with anyone, or even admiting them to ourselves. We actually live in fear . . . fear of ourselves. So we put on this suit of indifference to show our contempt for life and all things sacred. But deep inside . . . sometimes we just want to cry . . .

 4 1/2" x 6" Or 5" x 6"

What was up with that? You see this is why I do let my mind go ideal, it becomes potential dangerous, and has taken away anything useful that I might have had to say. Not to mention the effect of the Grilled Stuft Burrito that I had for lunch. This is not good as I might have had something that could have changed the world as we see it. I mean mind-grippingly monumental. Instead I made jokes about Yoda, being a pimp master, inspired by Seven's insanly funny posts and the skit Dave Chappell did on his comedy show.

Isn't that a shame? Such a indepth look at something that is already totally fictional. Does someone have to much time on their hands? What do you think? I would have to agree with you all. Eat more on your lunchbreak, write less, as your mind is not where it should be. But then if you had some dumbass ask you for valves and seats for his Gardner Denver water pump and didn't know whether it was a 5x6 FG-FXG or a 4 1/2x6 FG-FXG, you would go crazy too. And then have the ignorance to tell me he's got Gravel Valves in him pump, put when he describes them to me, they are the Standard Valves. IDIOTS!
