Do I just keep finding the awesomest pictures or what?
I saw this one and it jumped out at me as well as the other one of Luis Royo. This one however is by Boris Velljo. He has a interesting stroke with his art and the way that he depicts a woman. He also has a great artistic eye for elaborate backgrounds and elements.
Who is in the trall of who? That is what always had me interested about the relationship between a vampire and a human. They are like different sides of the same coin. Here we have a creature of the night that stalks it victims with an almost romantic prescion. But they can be vicious too. But you get more bees with honey than you do vinegar. You think that the same might apply here?
------------
In shadow he watches her. Her pale, pear white skin, shines in the moonlight. Her black hair, like strands of onyx, billowing in the cool breeze of the summer evening. He watches. A hunger burning inside of him like a blazing forest fire. Consuming every thought and action of his. He drops from the shadow as silent as the wind itself. A closer look must be made. He edges forward, wanting to get closer and closer, without being seen. Like a young boy getting his first look at the naked body of a woman. His hunger however is a bit more carnal, but just as selfish. He can see her as the cool water of the pond, ripples over the curves of her body, as she lazily backstrokes through the shallow water. Her innocence excites him, burns within him, like a fire that cannot be put out. He edges closer, now not realizing that he is not even in the saftey of the shadows that loom over the pond. He watches. She dips under the water, swimming just below the surface, her back occasionally breaking the surface, the water streams down the curve of her back and down her buttock, back into the pool. She breaks the surface, bursting forth like a dolphin jumping to the surface for air. He watches. She bobs there in the water, her breast breaking the surface as she bobs up and down. She runs her hands through her hair, squeezing out the excess water. He watches. She then swims forward toward the shore. She walks up out of the water, unkowning of her audience. He looks at her naked form, the water drips down her body, catching the rays of the moonlight and reflecting like shining diamonds on her body. She walks towards the shadows, to sit underneath a budding apple tree, to rest and let the cool wind dry her body. As she approached, he steps out of the shadow of the trees. She is startled at first, but for some reason feels no fear against him. He begins to walk towards her. She can feel her body tremble in expectation. Of what she is expecting she does not know. But it is as if every nerve in her body is alive with excitemnt. He stands before her, his wings spread out like protective blankets to sheild her from harm. She invites his embrace and allows him to take her with him. All unknowing to both of him, a great wandering serpent watches the two of them in their embrace. He feels the heat, as a snakes receptors (its tounge) sense heat to find their prey or a warm place to rest. The serpent wraps its coils around the woman's legs ever so gently. It laid there content and pasified.
