What Would You Do?

 Coors Light At 10am

Is Neil Diamond one of history's great singers. I'm just sitting here wondering what to write, while listening to Neil Diamond. Thinking here it is Saturday morning at 10:30 in the morning and I've already had my first Coors of the day. Course I have helluva lot of house cleaning to do this weekend, so I got get liquored up to get through it all. lol. Well anyway, Miss Terri, Miss Harbour and Big Shane, have been leaving some comments on my post that are an insentive for me to write some deep, meaningful writings. All I'm doing is speaking my mind on some things, and it comes out as it comes out. But I appreciate that some people have come here to read what they think is good writing. I'd rather have that, then hits on my blog just cause people are bored. Not to say that isn't how I got most of the people here that read my blogs. At any rate, thank you for your support and your interesting comments. I hope that I can live up to that and continue writing those thought provoking posts. But yall have to supply me with some fodder. The last two posts I did were both concerning two people here on blogstream, thats why I had so much to say.

Thank you all -- Miss Terri, Miss Abigail, Miss Erika, Miss Harbour, Big Shane, Eric, thoughtmaster, Maria, Miss Trisha, Miss Natira, Miss Kitty, Mr. Darker, Miss Cher, Charlie Brown, Miss Crane, and all the other people that post comments here, and also write helluv good blogs themselves.

Damn sounds like a damn awards show.

Well Take care of yall selves and I'm gonna get on the house work. I'll leave you listening to Crimson & Clover . . . as I claim is my theme song.

Lace Up Corsets and Leather Straps

You know as much as I may bitch and complain about mankind and their lack of this and their excess of that, there are some people that really are a credit to the human race. There is a young lady in this here blogstream, that is da (the just doesn't sound funky enough) bomb! She's just really damn sure of herself, whether she thinks she is or not. For one thing, she has just been through a helluva ordeal. And through that whole dealie she stuck to her guns, took care of buisness. Not many people can be that logical (not really the word I was looking for, but it will have to do). And you know she just a damn good pleasure to be around. Very outspoken, kind, down to earth, complimentary (and what guy doesn't like getting compliments form a lady). Very upbeat. Something that when you look at the world and mankind's situation, through my eyes all you see is the bad and the ugly. My brain is kind of like watching CNN. You because the news never is good news. There is never anything positive. I mean the other week, I decided to watch the news for the helluva it. Some asshole rapes a 80 year old invalid (thats invalid, but you know what word I mean). Jesus, how sick is that. Needless to say I changed the channel and watched Fraiser. On a lighter note maybe my brain is more like Dave Letterman. Depressingly unfunny, with a flamer next to him playing loud music. (My neighbor, he does that alot, and really doesn't have good taste in music. Never once have I heard Pink Floyd or Prince coming from that dude's house.) Anyway . . . Back to the point. What I'm getting at, is I read this gal's blog and it is so much the opposite of what mine is. And she actually has negative things in her life. The biggest thing I've got going on right now is I haven't seen Simpsons, Family Guy, or American Dad in like 2 weeks thanks to the NFL. And that's the only TV I watch on a regular basis. I mean I actually put the bottle of whiskey back in the fridge and watch Fox on Sunday night. Usually it's right there next to me as I am posting or talking in chat. Typing under the influnce is pretty daring. But then my middle name is Dangerous! So to get back to the point once again (what is this like the third time). People that can stay positive despite all the shit the world can throw at them, are a notch above in my book. They have a different perspective on life and they don't let anyone bring them down to their level. So maybe one day, you'll come in this here blog (for god only knows what reason people read this stuff) and you'll see the shining positive posts that you never see here. But don't hold your breath because I don't know how many of you are deep sea divers. If you want your head to turn purple that's not the way to go about it. The way to go about it involves usually leather, cold beer, things that lace up, scented candles, massage oil, and Barry White. But that's totally off the subject again. God, with my attention span you'd like my middle initial is "W". So in closing, since I keep rambling about sex and politics -- keep strong girl and know that no matter how damned negative I get, I always see something positive in you.

Ohh and chains too, that ALWAYS helps.

With that list that I just gave you, kinda makes you wonder --

What will you be doing tonight?

 Well La De Da

Well there just some times when I wish I could kepp my damn mouth shut (or i guess my fingers in line). Everytime I go back a read a post like I just did, I think that I just gotta stop being so negative about everything. I mean maybe that person was just saying what he/she thought would help this person. Then I come along and read and make an issue out of it. Well I guess thats what I get for staying up too late and having a mind of my own.

Ahh well what's a guy to do?
A little writing, that'll help . . .

I Think I've Posted This Before

But even if I did, I still like it . . . Sharon Apple from Macross Plus. If no one knows, I at least expect Big Shane to know who Sharon Apple is.

 What The Hell?

It's late, I've been drinking beer most the night, and on top of it, my wife just kicked my ass at Star Wars Trivial Pursuit. ME. The guy who gets pissed off that George Lucas added that punk kid who played Anakin Skywalker in the end of Return of the Jedi, in place of David Prowse. But anyway . . .

You ever stop and think just what makes people say what they do. I was just reading someone's blog and saw a comment that made me irratable. And I don't know why. The person who left the comment, no doubt, had good intentions. But the comment still sent shivers up my alcohol-fueled spine. Now I may be talking out of my ass, as I do so well, when fueled with Coors and Copenhagen, but I failed to see the point to this comment made to someone who is really distraught about their plight in life. I don't know if the comment itself is worth posting, as the point can be made without it, but I still feel it helps to know what was said.

The author of the post was concerened about their place in life, or finding out who they are. In response to this call for help, this post that was made, maybe a subconcious call for help, this comment, to me was a slap in the face. Kind of like when you bring someone down, before you help them. Like telling someone who is addicited to pain pills that it is their weakness that is the issue, not the pain that started them taking the pills in the first place. Like bitch slapping someone and then asking them if they need ice for that cheek.

This person is obviously reaching out for help, asking what can they do to help with these feelings they are having. And some zealot comes in a redirects the point to something so asinine, it boils your blood. Now I've already told you the mood I'm in. Beer and losing to Star Wars Trivial Pursuit does not put me in a good mood. But I've always been able to say what I want, no matter what I think the outcome might be. And maybe the author of this comment has the same sentiment. But I just don't see it. I think there was an agenda behind the comment. And I think that that agenda was adopted by someone else's agenda.

God fearing. That's two words that make a strange combination. I wouldn't think that fear would be anywhere close to a loving God. Do you fear the one's you love in your life? If someone really loves you and cares for you, why should you fear them? Shouldn't they just love you unconditionally? Or is that ignorant of me to assume?

In the final showdown, what you believe as far as God is concerned, is irrelevant. Because all the power in the universe cannot squash a person. You are who you are, and God himself cannot change that. You look at yourself in the mirror and you tell yourself -- "I am, I said". I am no one else but me.

So when you are looking for help and you can't find yourself, don't know who you are, or how you fit in this universe, just remember, you are you.

This person was wondering how to find themselves, to find their place in life and in mankind.

The comment -- "Finding out who you are is overrated. I think it is more productive to find out Who God is, then you will know who you are since He created you."

Finding out who you are is never overrated. God doesn't have a damn thing to do with who you finding out who you are. You make that decision on your own. Everyday you make decisions that decide who you are as a person, and no one can take that from you. Not even God himself. What your god does with that decision you make is anyones guess.

Good comparision. What if my son comes to me someday and ask me about himself and what place he has in the universe. And if I were being a selfish dickhead, said -- "Well son since I created you, look to me and you will find out who you are." Wouldn't that be just the biggest bunch of shit you've ever heard. My genes don't have a damn thing to do with the person that he will be. Just because I abuse alcohol, like a chronic masterbaiter doesn't mean that he has to grown up an alcoholic, just because he father is. Don't downgrade people for the sake of religion.

When God's time comes and he decends upon this Earth, I have a damn good feeling that people will find it very different from what they are expecting it to be. I think that the ones that are going to be caught off gaurd are the ones that think that they are prepared for the second coming.

Religion is a lot like any substance abuse. It moderate amounts religion can inspire and provoke. But in excess it can depress and breakdown. So when someone asks if you want to do religion, you just say no! Because all it takes is one hit and your hooked. Then you will be a Bible-pusher.

Rise above and think for yourself. Be YOU!
